Duties & Responsibilities:

Answer phone calls and handle patient inquiries efficiently
Schedule patient appointments and manage the calendar
Conduct reminder calls to patients about their upcoming appointments
Collect and record patient demographic information accurately
Act as a liaison between the doctor and patients, ensuring smooth communication
Greet and assist patients in a courteous and kind manner, whether in person or telephonically
Maintain records and accounts
Attend to patient enquiries
Run an efficient diary and appointment schedule
Keep patients informed if the Dr is running late and manage service delays professionally.
Efficient filing and retrieving of patient records
Attend to patient emergencies
Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information
Work seamlessly as part of a team
Ensure a neat and tidy reception area
Uphold the value and protocols of the practice
General administration

Greet and assist clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner

Manage incoming calls using phone systems, directing calls to appropriate personnel as needed

Maintain and organize office files, ensuring all documents are easily accessible

Schedule appointments and manage calendars for staff members efficiently

Provide administrative support including typing correspondence, reports, emails and other documents

Handle customer inquiries with a focus on delivering excellent customer service

Assist with front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests

Collaborate with team members to improve office processes and organizational efficiency

Qualifications & Requirements:

Matric

Tertiary qualification will be adv.
Minimum of 2 - 3 years' experience in a similar medical receptionist position
Computer literate (MS Office) with medical software - Elixir

Proficiency in using office software and equipment, including word processing and spreadsheet applications

Must have own reliable transport
