Hire Resolve’s client in the Retail Industry is urgently seeking the expertise of an Operations Specialist to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape.


Responsibilities:

  • Know what is on the shop floor and stockroom levels
  • Maintain stockroom areas to be organized per company standards (efficiency, layout, standards, cleanliness
  • Prepare and maintain working areas for deliveries and transfers
  • Work with the General Manager / Operations Manager in the sales preparation process
  • Ensure optimal replenishment of the store and a correct routine to respond to shopfloor requests
  • Plan in advance resources for the delivery, transfers and other movements according to units and productivity and fulfillment (%) expected.
  • Carry out the stocktakes
  • Support training to ensure staff are more vigilant and aware of all security procedures
  • Manage rubbish & waste after delivery (cardboard and plastic separation for recycling, clean floor ready to open
  • Report incidences or breakdowns to General Manager / Operations Manager
  • Ensure a healthy work environment
  • Follow & Promote HR Policies & Procedures and the Code of Conduct in the store
  • Train & develop the store team in operational aspects such as replenishment routines, stockroom organisation, delivery process, movements in-out of the store and other best practices in operations
  • Supports the management team in the implementation of the seasonal training plan
  • Supports the company induction programme by giving specific trainings in operations topics
  • Actively promotes healthy and safe working routines to the rest of the team, following company guidelines and reporting any major deviations to the management of the store


Requirements:

  • Solid experience managing a similar fast paced retail
  • Passion for people and processes
  • Systematic organised approach to work
  • Team management experience advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge and experience in organisational effectiveness
