About the position
Marketing Support Services is seeking an experienced and proactive Social Media Manager to take responsibility for managing approximately 72 social media pages across Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn for a period of six months.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with multiple brands/dealerships simultaneously
Key responsibilities
- Ensure that all social media pages (approximately 72 pages across Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn) comply with the platforms’ rules and requirements; identify non-compliance issues and recommend solutions.
- Publish content according to the content plan developed in collaboration with the client.
- Monitor all pages for user comments and enquiries.
- Escalate comments and enquiries to the relevant contacts at the respective dealerships.
- Implement and manage paid media campaigns according to the content plan.
- Recommend optimisation opportunities where possible (e.g. improved advertising or boosting strategies).
- Provide daily lead reports.
- Prepare monthly performance reports for both organic and paid media activities.
Skills required
- Degree or diploma qualification in marketing, communications, digital marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing social media accounts at scale (ideally multiple pages and/or brands).
- Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn platform policies and advertising tools (Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, etc.).
- Experience in executing and optimising paid social media campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Afrikaans would be advantageous).
- Ability to compile reports and interpret data for performance reporting purposes.
- Highly organised and capable of managing high volumes of content and communication across multiple channels.
- Experience within the automotive industry or with dealership networks would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Own transport.
