Key responsibilities and activities
- Platform optimisation: Ensure the website, product displays, and bulk quote request systems function optimally at all times to capture high-stakes B2B intent.
- Catalogue synchronisation: Execute daily updates of the existing product catalogue from suppliers, ensuring data accuracy for our curated range.
- Inventory expansion: Lead the addition of new products and categories from new suppliers while maintaining the "pillar and hero" internal linking architecture.
- Landing page architecture: Set up and optimise high-converting landing pages for high-value categories (such as gazebos or workwear) and "event ready" campaigns.
- Technical SEO and performance: Establish and maintain elite site speed and mobile performance.
- URL and integrity management: Monitor and manage URL slugs and redirects to prevent keyword cannibalisation and ensure the "about us" page does not compete with the Homepage.
- Dynamic messaging: Manage the update of website messaging banners to align with seasonal high-volume trends and "rapid turnaround" promises.
- Technical maintenance: Ensure all functional and security plugins are up-to-date to prevent site instability or vulnerabilities.
- Infrastructure oversight: Monitor website uptime and manage the hosting environment to guarantee a reliable procurement experience for corporate clients.
- Standards enforcement: Oversee overall site integrity by enforcing best-practice web standards to maintain our positioning as a top-10 industry leader.
- Feed management: Optimise and manage merchant center feeds to ensure "hero" products maintain visibility while qualifying traffic to avoid low-quality retail buyers.
- Strategic collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure the efficient coordination of strategy, aligning technical site updates with growth objectives.
