The production coordinator serves as the central logistics hub of the soap opera production office. Reporting directly to the production Manager and line producer, you will facilitate the smooth flow of information between the writing team, studio, post -production and network executives. This role exceptional Multitasking skills, a calm demeanor under high-pressure deadlines and ability to manage a massive volume of rapidly changing paperwork.
Key responsibilities:
- Daily deliverables and paperwork: Distribute daily call sheets, production reports, scripts, and script revisions (which happen constantly in soapies) to cast and crew.
- Logistics and scheduling: Coordinate travel, accommodation, and transport for main cast members, guest actors, and background extras. Maintain the master production calendar.
- Cast and crew liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for the production office. Onboard new crew members, manage start paperwork, and coordinate cast fittings and publicity requests.
- Vendor and asset management: Issue purchase orders (POs), manage office supplies, negotiate vendor contracts for equipment or catering, and clear invoices with the accounts department.
- Script continuity support: Track script changes, ensuring that all departments (wardrobe, art, continuity) have the absolute latest drafts of the 5+ episodes being handled in any given week.
