QA Proofreader & Copywriter (Johannesburg)

Location: Remote (South Africa) Salary: R15,000 – R25,000 per month (depending on experience) Employment Type: Full-time

Are you a language perfectionist who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for an agile and meticulous QA Proofreader and Copywriter to join our creative studio.
In this role, you will be the final line of defense, ensuring all outgoing communication, from corporate strategy documents to complex, emotive comms and technical content, is polished, accurate, and impactful. We move quickly, so we need someone who can maintain high standards while meeting tight deadlines.

What you’ll do:

• Proofreading and QA: Meticulously review all copy for grammar, style, consistency, and clarity. Understand different brand tones.
• Copywriting: Draft and refine content for a diverse range of clients, seamlessly shifting between professional corporate tones and detailed technical writing to emotive writing.
• Quality Control: Ensure all materials align with brand voice and client requirements before final delivery.
• Agile Collaboration: Work closely with our creative team to turn around edits quickly without sacrificing quality.

Who you are:

• Experience: You have a minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in copywriting and proofreading - in an agency environment would be beneficial.
• Attention to detail: You possess an eagle eye for errors, typos and inconsistencies simply do not get past you.
• Versatile writer: You have a genuine love for the English language and can adapt your writing style for both C-suite executives to every employee and highly technical audiences
• Agile mindset: You excel in a fast-moving studio environment where quick turnaround times are the norm.
• Self-starter: As a fully remote team member, you are organised, communicative, and able to manage your time effectively.
