Senior Designer (Johannesburg or Cape Town)

Who are we looking for:
We are looking for a creatively driven Senior Designer with 6–8+ years of design experience, strong conceptual skills and proven leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will oversee design quality, manage and mentor a Designer, and deliver exceptional creative work across multiple brands and platforms.

What will you do:

• Develop creative concepts and design assets for integrated campaigns, digital, social media, print and corporate communications
• Create presentations, infographics, reports, brand materials and campaign collateral
• Ensure design quality, consistency and adherence to brand guidelines
• Review and approve all design work before delivery or publication
• Manage, guide and mentor the designer, providing creative direction and feedback
• Collaborate with creative, content, account and traffic teams to manage briefs and deadlines
• Oversee multiple projects while maintaining high creative standards
• Improve design processes, templates and workflows
• Present and explain creative concepts to internal teams and clients when required

What will you need:

• 6–8+ years of professional design experience, preferably within a creative, advertising, digital or communications agency
• A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and excellent design execution
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, with working knowledge of Canva
• Strong presentation design skills using PowerPoint, Google Slides or Canva
• Excellent understanding of typography, layout, colour, branding and visual storytelling
• Experience in digital design, social media content, integrated campaigns and corporate communications
• Previous experience mentoring or managing designers and approving creative work
• Knowledge of print production and digital artwork specifications
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
• Motion graphics, video editing, Figma and AI-assisted creative tools would be advantageous
