Actuary (Pretoria)

Our client, a non-profit, medical scheme is seeking a Qualified Actuary for the Pretoria area.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Establish and lead the company’s new in-house actuarial and data analytics function with responsibilities spanning optimisation, efficiency, risk management, product development and competitive positioning.
• Coordinating with external actuaries for reviews and statutory reporting, as well as presenting findings to executive management and translating data insights into operational recommendations.
• Consults with clients on specific needs and provides actuarial solutions.

Requirements:

• Fellowship of the Actuarial Society of South Africa.
• 10 years’ actuarial experience with a minimum 3 years within the insurance or healthcare industry including modelling and data analytics.
